Point Of Single Contact
Welcome to the Point of Single Contact (PSC)
In Thuringia, founders and entrepreneurs from all EU countries can handle procedures and formalities without having to contact various authorities. For that task the points of single contact are available in Thuringian Chambers of Commerce and Industry as well as in the Chambers of Handicrafts.
The point of single contact provides relevant information about requirements and formalities that are necessary in order to set up a business.
The point of single contact is an intermediate or a competent coordinator. He or she receives the documents and passes them on to the competent authority. Furthermore, the point of single contact coordinates the procedures for the service provider. However, he does not shift the allocation of functions and powers among the authorities. The utilisation of these services is optional. Concerns can also be handled via the responsible competent authority as before. Meaning, the service of the PSC can be used voluntarily.
The relevant basis was established through the Thuringian Act on the implementation of Directive 2006/123/EC of the European Parliament and Council of December 12, 2006 on services in the internal market from July 8, 2009. In July 30, 2009 the law came into force.
Excluded from the scope of the Service Directive are in particular:
financial services, services in the field of transport, services of temporary work agencies, healthcare services, the field of taxation, labour law as well as safety at work, procedures regarding building permits, social services
